Simon Renaud is a graphic designer & type designer based in Montreuil. He is interested in writing systems, legibility, perception, automation and new technologies. He collects writing systems on his blog Language as Symbols since 2012. He regularly runs workshops and teaches at ÉSAD Amiens. Since 2018, he co-organized the international type symposium – Fonts and Faces – at the Campus Fonderie de l’Image. In 2020, he is PhD researcher at the COSTECH laboratory [UTC] co-directed by Serge Bouchardon and Alexandra Saemmer. He has published typefaces Tuner at Production Type and Augure at 205TF.
